You’re Invited: A Heartfelt Reception for Change

Join us at The Joy Luck Club rooftop charity reception on May 11, 2026 at 7:30pm in Washington, DC, for a special charity reception hosted by the AREAA Foundation, the day after Mother’s Day. Together, we will raise funds to support unhoused AANHPI women through our partnership with Homestretch, a nonprofit dedicated to addressing the root causes of homelessness.

As we honor the incredible mothers within our AREAA community, we will also extend our compassion to those facing significant challenges. Your generous donation of $150 will empower transformative initiatives that provide these families with the resources they need to rebuild their lives.

At Homestretch, families find not just shelter but the comprehensive support they need to rebuild their lives. Many of their clients have endured unimaginable hardship, escaping situations of domestic violence or caught in cycles of poverty. They arrive in fervent despair, carrying the hopes of their children under the age of 18. With the right tools and unwavering support, these families can achieve what once seemed impossible—stable housing, self-sufficiency, and a brighter future.
