From the northeastern coast of Japan to the shores of New Jersey and New York, natural disasters have wiped out entire neighborhoods and left thousands of people homeless. The Foundation supports devastated areas by helping to raise funds to rebuild the homes and communities of people who have lost their homes, their businesses, and their loved ones.

Through the end of 2015, the Foundation received approximately $600,000 in corporate, chapter, individual, and employee contributions towards relief efforts.

$400,000 raised for Japan earthquake and tsunami victims. This went towards the Shirahama Housing Project to build permanent homes.

$20,000 raised for Hurricane Sandy victims, in partnership with AREAA Metro NY/Asian Americans for Equality/Korean Community Foundation

$30,000 raised from a silent auction that the foundation hosted at Foundation’s Haiyan Benefit Concert

$10,000 raised for Nepal earthquake victims

$5,000 raised for Kumamoto earthquake victims

$5,000 grant given to Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley towards post-flood rehabilitation efforts at Golden Wheel Mobile Home Community.


$35,000 raised for Hurricane Harvey rebuild
